The GeForce RTX 3060 Ti by NVIDIA is a mid-range graphics card for consumers, built on the Ampere architecture. The Ampere architecture is NVIDIA’s second-generation offering that includes hardware raytracing and other advanced features under their RTX branding. The card provides varying performance enhancements depending on the task at hand, with the most significant improvements observed in 3D rendering, video editing, and game engines. In most applications, the card’s performance should be comparable to the older RTX 2080 Ti and slightly lower than the pricier RTX 3070.

This model of the card uses a multi-fan cooling system that is ideal for keeping a single card running quietly and at a lower temperature. However, the system pumps some of the heat generated by the card back into the computer, making it unsuitable for use in systems with more than one or two GPUs. In such cases, video cards with a blower-style fan and rear heat exhaust would be a better option.

In terms of connectivity, the card has one HDMI 2.1 and three DisplayPort 1.4a ports that can support up to four displays with a maximum resolution of 7680×4320 (8K).
